Meaghan Frost, LiCSW, MSW

Welcome!

I’m dedicated to helping clients rediscover their self-value and knowledge through introspection, empathy, and trauma-informed support. My goal is to help you find calmness and confidence in navigating life's complexities.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the states of Washington and Oregon and hold a Master’s degree from Portland State University. I have experience working with a wide range of clinical issues and specialize in anxiety, complex traumas, and navigating stressful life events. In life, we may grapple with complex emotions, feel stuck, lose faith in relationships or careers, realize outdated habits, and struggle with past or present trauma. These experiences can manifest in challenging mental health symptoms that demand our attention and care. It is during these times that we must acknowledge the immense struggle that we face and seek out the support and guidance we need to navigate through these difficult seasons of life. Through self-reflection, exploration, and the cultivation of inner strength, we can begin to find our way back to a place of balance and peace.

One common consequence of trauma is negative internal thoughts that can lead to a negative self-perception and hinder personal growth. I work closely with clients to identify and challenge these negative beliefs, replacing them with positive and empowering ones. By addressing these deep-rooted thoughts, we can create a healthier and more balanced mindset.

In addition to internal struggles, trauma can also cause increased conflict with others. Clients often find it difficult to establish and maintain healthy relationships due to feelings of fear, mistrust, or disconnection. I help clients develop healthy boundaries, assertiveness, and conflict resolution strategies, allowing for healthier and more fulfilling connections. My therapy style is warm, collaborative and practical. I utilize a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) and Mindfulness-Based practices.

I believe that everyone's journey is unique, and that therapy should be tailored to your specific needs. Therefore, I work collaboratively with my clients to identify their goals for therapy, and determine the best approach to help them achieve those goals. I will support you wherever you are in your process of growth, and help you discover your own strengths and resources along the way. Above all, I want you to feel empowered in your own healing process.
